History of Eastport:
After two hundred years as farmland, Eastport was developed as a village in 1868. It quickly became an integrated community centered around seafood and the boat building industry. In the 1880’s, a glass works on Second Street and a growing interest in marinas and yachting brought even more families to town. By the early 1900s, Eastport had become a thriving community with unique stores, restaurants, and services that set them apart as destination within Annapolis.
